I studied pottery at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn New York. After a lengthy time away from ceramics, I returned in order to supply my daughter (food blogger, stylist, author & photographer) Izy Hossack with one of a kind, handmade pottery for her set styling and food photography.

My line of scalloped edge table and serveware is constantly developing with new edges being introduced annually, and colours changing seasonally. I have purposely chosen to keep the glazing monotone with the concept that by stacking the pieces one can appreciate the impact of the different edges and varied colours.

All of my work is hand built. Handbuilding allows for the clay to speak for itself whilst enhancing my concept of elegant, pretty simplicity of the work. My work is made to sit on the table either en masse, stacked or mixed into an eclectic collection of ceramics.

Although they do look delicate, the clay I use is an english white stoneware which is fired to a mid range temperature, making sturdy wares that are dishwasher safe and with food safe glazes.

A note about stock and ordering. In order to economise on materials and energy you may find some items out of stock. I work full time in the studio and am happy to make pieces to order in styles and colours throughout my shopping pages. Please use the Enquiry form or email me at kchossackpottery@gmail.com. Thank you!
